The Raven
In this class, Fred Hatt teaches The Raven, a bizarre and torturous shape for suspension play, with his model Mio.
This surprising and challenging position can be kept on the floor as a partial suspension or raised to a full suspension. As this is an intense tie meant to be short-lived in the air, it is recommended to use a pulley system in order to lift and lower your model quickly and easily.
The chest harness used by Fred in this demonstration can be replaced by any other comfortable hands-free harness of your choice (e.g. Butterfly Harness or Xana Harness).
Despite its seemingly simple look, this position requires a fairly advanced level of experience on both sides of the rope. The very minimalistic structure used for this suspension demands that each element is executed carefully and properly. We hope you enjoy this class and practice carefully!

Could this be done with a front load harness? If so, any suggestions?

Great question! Based on how forward-folded the final position is, picking up from the back is likely going to be a bit more sustainable, however, we think experimentation is great. If you give it a try front-loaded, you could try with this harness.

I love this tie and position. It's quite beautiful.
