In this class, Gorgone teaches the newest version of their Diamond Leg-Tie with their model Aleks.

This beautiful leg tie is both aesthetically pleasing and functional, designed specifically to reduce the pressure on the shinbone in suspension. In the tutorial video, Gorgone explains how to adapt the first steps of the tie to suit different levels of mobility.

In the suspension line video, they show how to create a stable anchor point, discussing their loading preferences for futomomos and how to ensure that the pressure remains mostly on the more resilient parts of the thigh and less on the sensitive shin and ankle wraps.

The demo video is a straightforward version of the same tie without talking. It’s useful to give an overview the harness before studying the tutorial or to refresh your memory after you have watched the tutorial with full explanations.

    Quick Review: Camera angles in this vid sometimes make it hard to see which way the rope is lying and it's important to pay attention to this, especially on the hitches. Not too much of a problem though, as the instructions are clear and you can figure out the lay if you're paying attention. As noted in the video, this futo puts less strain on the shin, and is also friendly for bottoms who can't pull their ankle up tight against their thigh. The single column tie to start also places the tie slightly higher up on the ankle than a standard futo, which takes pressure off as well. We found that the waist tie secured the futo well, and even a fair amount of tugging didn't pull it up toward the knee. The load position on the inner thigh feels solid and distributes weight well.
