Doll’s Bamboo Harness
In this shibari class, Kissmedeadlydoll teaches two version of Doll’s Bamboo Harness, her suspendable chest and arm harness, with her models Cutebutdeadly and Mickael.
Incorporating the arms, chest and a length of bamboo, this harness is a great option to bind the arms for those looking for alternatives to box ties. Go more minimalist or build in a little more support – as Kissmedeadlydoll explains, it can be adapted depending on your bottom’s needs.
In the first video, Kissmedeadlydoll demonstrates the base pattern of the tie on Cutebutdeadly, followed by a third rope-inspired front lock-off variation.
The second class picks up with the base pattern taught in the first video now tied on Mickael, however, this time with a variation designed to offer more anchoring for the wraps. As Kissmedeadlydoll explains, this can be helpful for bottoms with more rounded shoulders and bigger bodies or for those who prefer more support.
The final video shows how to add a hanger to the back of the harness for suspension purposes. (While it can be loaded from the back or side, Kissmedeadlydoll says that most people prefer it from the back, but feel free to experiment if it’s within your skill set.)
As this harness is designed for suspension, this tutorial is aimed at advanced riggers and bottoms who already have some suspension experience. Less advanced levels may be able to tie along but please only attempt to use this tie in suspension if your skill set allows.
