Most “Emergency Descent” classes focus on how to get the bottom down from suspension as fast as possible, but this is often not the best option… In this important suspension safety class, TieRopeTakePhoto and Alice Sky will identify the common emergencies in rope suspension, discuss how dangerous they actually are, and how they can best be prevented or addressed. This class is appropriate for rope practitioners of all levels but will be most useful to those already practicing suspension.

    Pluses: Really love the categorization of different types of emergencies. Really loved the post-emergency discussion on how to emotionally repair. So so important!

    Deltas: Bummer that the camera didn’t capture what they were talking about in specific situations. It would have been much more useful of a demo if they had modeled actually cutting the rope and lowering the body.

      My best guess is they were saying cut the loop of the munter that is parallel to the ground not the lines of the pulley going up and back from the harness.

    Love the idea of having this kind of content up all the time and not taken down at random intervals. However, it would be really nice to have it remastered in a way that uses a more complete view of the whole upline management system.
