In this class Gorgone teaches the Fisherman Harness with her model Ruggito.

This harness was designed by Gorgone's former students Rodolphe and Mathilde, who gave her their permission to demonstrate it following their original pattern and advice. This chest harness with the arms placed in the front is a great alternative to the TK and is very comfortable for all kinds of suspensions.

In the suspension lines video, Gorgone explains how to create various anchor points to suspend the Fisherman Harness.

I made some minor extensions/modifications to this great tie that could be of interest... Sometimes the lower wrap in the front (or the lower end of the V-shape) gets a bit loose when loading the tie. When coming back from the front to the back and finalizing the basic tie in the lower back, I go around the waist another time, under the elbows and catch the final knot of the V-shape in the front, pull it down and go back below the elbows around the waist to the back. I have replaced the optional munter hitches on the sides by simple turns around the wraps. They can be tied faster and are less pinchy on this sensitive area. The overall stability doesn't seem to be harmed by this simpler version. When finishing this side-reinforcement I go from the left elbow to the right one, which together with the extension described above seems to provide some extra stability.

Quick Review: This is a quick-to-learn and quick-to-do tie that should become a staple in every rigger's repertoire. It's very pretty, with symmetry in front and in back; it loads evenly, and it has multiple possible load points for face-down, face-up or sideways suspension. We could also see a lot of possibilities for variations and additions to this tie. It works really well for an interesting hogtie, for example. As a bottom, I found this tie challenging for how restrained it feels, but not physically difficult. Although this is a quite straightforward tie, I encourage you to watch the video instructions fully before attempting it. As always, you'll get great tips on getting the symmetry right, how to use the load points, etc.
