In this intimate and tender shibari performance, Lief and their rope partner Icky present a negotiation, floor-based performance and post-session debrief as a reminder that rope doesn’t have to be complicated in order to start playing.

As Lief and Icky explain in the intro to this series, floor-based performances might get less airtime than their suspension-focused counterparts but they are no less connective or evocative. In fact, rope scenes on the floor allow for easier risk mitigation and more accessible play without the need for advanced techniques or intimidating ties. In this dynamic session, they demonstrate how scenes on the floor can be both playful and impactful.

Before the session, they offer insights into how they negotiate their play as established rope partners with four years of tying together behind them. The session is followed by an intimate interview, in which they offer feedback and each discuss their impressions of the session.
