Floor to Air Challenge: The Raven
This playlist is part of our Floor to Air Challenge. Find all of the details in our Community!
Quick, dirty, and anything but simple. Using only a basic chest harness and a double column tie, it’s no surprise that The Raven tie requires some real bottoming skills…and an affinity for a specific flavor of suffering. If you haven’t done much bottoming to rope that smacks you in the face with difficulty and eases off as quickly as it came on, this could be a fun exploration. For the riggers out there, the minimalism of this tie doesn’t let you off the hook. Make sure your double-column tie is on its best behavior! If you’ve never played with a pulley before, this is a fun place to start.
You can swap in any arms free chest harness you like, though be mindful that the verticality of the final position will load the lower wraps, so pay attention to how waist ropes/lower wraps that sit near the sternum affect your experience in the tie. Give it a try, post a pic, and let us know in Community how you liked it!
