Flying Lotus Suspension
In this shibari class, Gorgone will teach you their Flying Lotus vertical suspension with their model Hongor.
Minimalistic, magical and, above all else, easy to execute, the Flying Lotus is a great suspension to practice collaborative tying. By lifting the model into a vertical cross-legged position in the air, the person being tied is comfortably able to take control of their own balance, making for a tie that feels more synergistic and relaxed for both model and rigger alike. It is, as Gorgone explains, a simple tie with a beautiful result.
Additionally, there are endless variations when it comes to upper body ties to combine it with, making it the perfect opportunity to figure out how to use levels and body mechanics together with your bottoming partner.
This class is suitable from intermediate level up, provided you already have some suspension experience. Please only apply the skills taught in this shibari class as far as your own practice and skill set will allow.
