Handling Drills For Uplines
In this shibari tutorial series, Fuoco shares a number of follow-along drills for uplines, with exercises designed to help you get your uplines up and down as easily and efficiently as possible.
Confident upline management and control is key to safer suspensions in rope. These handling drills are designed to help you practice and perfect tying smoothly and securely, with or without a partner. Tie along, repeat often and practice regularly, and watch your rope handling transform.
The first drill focuses on smart tying techniques for tying and untying an upline that’s locked with two half-hitches (also known as a clove hitch).
The second drill focuses on tying and untying uplines locked with a slipped overhand knot (also known as a Naka bow).
This rope bondage course is suitable for intermediate levels, particularly if you have already begun exploring suspension. We recommend that everyone spend some time drilling skills for better rope handling, no matter how advanced your practice.
