Kinoko's Bedroom Bondage

In this shibari tutorial series, Kinoko teaches two harnesses that can be used in the bedroom (and beyond), together with his model hua hua.

Many beginner shibari learners first become interested in rope for its erotic applications, and while advanced suspensions and intense rope scenes may end up having their place in your practice, they’re not exactly bedroom-friendly. In this course, Kinoko teaches his take on shibari for sex with two ties that are straightforward, functional and fun. Importantly, Kinoko emphasizes that these harnesses are designed for comfort, sustainability and, well, the high likelihood of getting distracted during this type of play. As such, they’re easy to tie and untie and can be tied more loosely than some other shibari harnesses.

In the first video, Kinoko teaches an arms-front harness that plays with the feelings of being restrained while also being an easy position for the person being tied to maintain over a longer period.

In the second video, Kinoko offers a hip harness variation built for grabbing, tugging and pulling in all sorts of positions while still being simple to tie and comfortable to be in.

The third video offers pointers for how these harnesses can be used for play, making for bedroom bondage that mitigates the risks of more advanced ties while still being playful, intimate and spicy.

This class is suitable for beginner levels and beyond. Always remember to keep your skill set in mind when applying techniques from any Shibari Study class to your own rope practice. Remember, too, that consent and negotiation are integral to all types of rope play.
