KissmedeadlyDoll's Self-Suspension Chest Harness

KissmedeadlyDoll

As a self-suspender with more than a decade’s experience, Kissmedeadlydoll says she loves taking what people are doing in partnered tying and seeing if she can recreate something similar with self-tying. This Self-Suspension Harness is built for exactly that, with a stable stem behind the back that’s designed for attaching suspension lines and being able to play with back- and side-loading suspension shapes more often seen in partnered ropes.

In the first video, you’ll learn how to tie the harness with step-by-step instructions and some guidelines for easier and less strenuous self-tying. While aimed at more advanced self-tyers, this tutorial is filled with skill-building tips to help you get better at tying behind your back. If the rope handling shown in this tutorial is proving to be a bit out of reach, you can check out Self Tying the Chest for additional tips and tricks on how to make tying behind your back easier.

In the second video, Kissmedeadlydoll details where and how suspension lines can be added to this harness with invaluable advice for self-suspenders to make tying behind the back just that little bit less challenging.

This harness tutorial is aimed at advanced self-tyers who already have some suspension experience. The harness video alone is suitable for less advanced levels but please only attempt to use this tie in suspension if your skill set allows.
