Misungui Harness

Gorgone

In this class, Gorgone teaches her Misungui Harness with her models Franz and Aja.

This chest-loaded harness is designed as an alternative to the TK for models with sensitive shoulders and nerves. It is also a great harness for models who have suffered nerve damage recently and cannot have any pressure on their arms, without being limited to hands-free harnesses only.

In the 'Suspension Lines' video, Gorgone explains how to create anchor points in the back, side and front of the harness.

The demo video is a straightforward version of the same tie without talking. It is useful to overview the harness before studying the tutorial or to refresh your memory after you have watched the tutorial with full explanations.

Just technical comment: This video seems to be not completly edited.
Otherwise I really like all Gorgone's videos as she focus much on the impact to the model.

Quick Review: This is a really interesting tie for several reasons. Primarily, the tension needs to be carefully managed because the structure of the tie only comes together fully at the end. This means you need to be paying attention to what comes next at all times. It's cumulative, not step-by-step as some other ties are. This makes it a good choice if you've done some more 'level 1' tutorials, have a good grasp of frictions and rope management, and are ready to understand more about how to construct a great tie. We love Gorgone's thoughtful constructions and this is definitely a versatile tie for suspension and for learning. As a bottom, you can contribute by feeding back to your rigger on the tension when needed. It's great that this tie can work with several possible hand positions, and takes shoulder and nerve issues into account. The Hojo cuffs really make the shoulders feel secured.
