Opening Flow: Before Your First Upline

Part of Rebound Week! This session is making a special return until September 28.

Before your first upline…

Class type: Demonstration
Level: Beginner (should know some basic frictions)

Duration: 60 minutes
Props: Optional note-taking tools

This class steps through Syd’s most frequent opening floor flow to set the mood and build structure and intensity before working her way into a suspension.

This sequence is designed as a “get to know you” moment within a scene, to learn about the person you’re tying – the way that their body moves, the way that they react to your touch, the way that they settle into your ropes. Whether this sequence is used as a session in full or an opening before a more complex tie, it’s meant as an introduction between yourself and your tying partner.
