Simple Chest Harnesses
In this step-by-step shibari course, Gorgone teaches examples of simple and fun chest ties with their model Jewelryandfire. These chest harnesses use knots and frictions learned in the Beginner Course to create a variety of full ties that can be tied on a partner with minimal expertise or effort required.
The Simple Bunny Tie begins with binding the wrists in front of the body before bringing them up and over the head for a popular and playful tie that incorporates the upper body and arms.
The Simple Box Tie is a great starting point to explore one of the most common ties you’ll see in shibari: the takate kote (TK) or box tie. Before you learn any highly engineered versions of this arms-behind-the-back tie, this uncomplicated version will help you learn the basics of this shape and is perfect for playing on the floor.
Always remember to communicate with your partner to make sure the tie suits their specific needs and preferences. Make adjustments accordingly or untie and seek further advice from a skilled rigger if you cannot find an appropriate solution on your own.
