The Secret To Vertical Suspension

Part of Rebound Week! This session is making a special return until September 28.

Playing with upright positions in the air

Class type: Discussion & demonstration
Level: Advanced
Duration: 60 minutes
Props: A full suspension kit, safety shears

Vertical suspensions can be very sustainable… or they can lead to pain, fainting and nausea. In this class, TieRopeTakePhoto and Alice Sky will discuss how load transfers through ties and the unique challenges of vertical suspension.

During this class, you will learn how to use the Hip Loader alone or integrated into an upper body harness to transfer load to the most sustainable part of the body in several canonical vertical suspensions.

This class is suitable for advanced levels. Tops should have solid suspension skills and a go-to suspendable back-loading upper body harness with a waist-line. Bottoms should have suspension experience and be able to tolerate rope on the inner thighs.

Where can I watch the video on emergency management mentioned at 9 minutes?

Any chance that the video on emergency management can be reinstated - seems like useful knowledge to have available

Felix Unfortunately we only commission live classes for a specific window of time. However, we make notes of popular content and reference those notes when we make decisions about filming permanent content. I’ll make a note that there's interest in this video!

It was an old live video they did that has already been taken down.

Is there a part two which will cover the tie (tenshi + basket tie hashira ) shown in the thumbnail photo? Thanks :)

Unfortunately not, and our sincere apologies if the thumbnail created mismatched expectations to what the content of the class was. When we host live classes we always ask our instructors to send over photos that somewhat match what they'll be teaching, and in this case we went with a photo of a vertical suspension. Again, apologies that the shape in the image wasn't covered in class!
