Tiptoe Predicament
In this step-by-step shibari tutorial, Bänana teaches a partially suspended Tiptoe Predicament with her model Marion.
Looking for a tie to challenge your tying partner’s balance, endurance and strength, from their shoulders all the way to their tippy toes? This wicked predicament only uses a few ropes and minimal structural elements to achieve an intense tie with challenging choices for the person being tied built in. While quick to tie, this predicament requires precision too – in this class, you’ll learn tips and tricks to tie as effectively and safely as possible, as well as ideas for how to add even more intensity.
The second video spotlights two different variations of the tie with adaptations for the arms and the hips. If the first version seems impossible for your partner, one of these may be better suited to their body and flexibility levels.
This shibari class is suitable for advanced students who already have some suspension experience. The minimalism of this tie means that it will be much harder on the person in ropes if not tied perfectly, so please be vigilant and mindful when applying the techniques taught in this class to your own practice. If your skill set is not suitable to safely attempt this course, feel free to watch the class for inspiration but do not follow along.
