Tying Bigger Bodies

In this four-part rope bondage tutorial series, tying partners Cait and Gigi discuss rope for bigger bodies.

There is very little representation of bigger bodies in bondage and, as a result, many misconceptions and negative stereotypes around tying bigger bodies. This course is designed to emphasize the fact that every body is unique and that rope is adaptable. As Cait and Gigi explain, it’s about knowing how to tie the person you intend to tie, about partnership (being able to communicate openly and being receptive to feedback) and about being able to modify ties to work for you.

In the intro video, Cait and Gigi go over some all-important safety considerations to take into account before starting with the rest of the course.

The next videos cover the topic of harness stability and comfort, with useful advice on how to approach tension and rope placement when tying bigger models, including a useful exercise you can incorporate into your rope practice for finding the best tension and placements in your ties.

Finally, Cait and Gigi offer their tips and tricks for getting bigger bodies into the air in suspensions.

While elements of this video series for tying bigger bodies can be beneficial for every level and any practice, please keep your skill set in mind and only attempt the suspension part of the course if you already have some prior experience.
