Yoko Tsuri Study
In this course, Gestalta demonstrates and explains different variations of Yoko-tsuri (side suspension) with their model Aleks.
This class is ideal if you are fairly new to suspension and want to practice a position that is not too challenging for the model and doesn't involve advanced uplines management.
In the first part, they demonstrate a side suspension without hip support, with a few tips on how to get into the position smoothly. They show a few variations and explains the pros and cons of this simple execution of the tie.
In the second part, they demonstrate a side suspension with hip support by using a more supportive tie on the leg as well as adding either a wrap around the hips or a gun slinger harness.
In both classes, they show how the same position can look and feel different by changing the levels of the upper-body in relation to the lower-body and playing around with variations with the remaining leg.
Note that Gestalta is using a TK in the classes, but you can replace it with a hands-free harness to reduce the risk of nerve damage and stress in the shoulders.
