As Ropunawa explains, this constricting tie is highly inspired by Nicolas Yoroï and was developed through a lot of experimentation. Starting with a waist rope as the foundation, the end result is sculptural while still allowing room for playfulness and interpretation in the solid rope ‘net’ that tightly captures and supports the crossed legs.

This tie is comfortable, sustainable, and adaptable for models of all body types and most levels of flexibility. It’s suitable to incorporate into floor play for beginners, while for more advanced students, it’s a great option for partial suspensions and can also be modified for full suspensions.
