In this class by MieNeko and Schlavendel, we set aside the technical side of rope to focus on the emotional, exploring rope as a tool for intention and connection.

“In shibari we connect with our partner without relying on spoken language. The rope becomes our medium – it offers countless possibilities to interact with one another, create intimacy, and express emotions. At the same time, this path is new and unfamiliar territory for many,” they say. “Facial expressions, gestures, and the conscious creation of atmosphere suddenly take on a central importance – far more than we are used to in our everyday lives. So how can we build power dynamics without using words? How can I clearly show my partner what I feel, desire, or expect, without saying it out aloud? And what intentions do I want to convey through my tying?”

This workshop is all about soft skills in rope bondage. It will explore both the perspective of the rigger and of the model, creating an immersive experience together that opens up new ways of communication.

This workshop is for anyone who wants to dive deeper emotionally, for people who wish to feel more secure in their roles, deepen their connection with one another, and find new inspiration for their sessions.
