Tying Different Bodies
In this insightful shibari and anatomy tutorial series, Reemah discusses how the same types of ties can be adapted for different bodies with her models Anansi and Lavender.
Rope is not a one-size-fits-all practice. What works for one person’s body may be totally unsustainable or incorrectly placed on the next. In this essential course, Reemah offers useful guidelines for how to use the anatomy of the person being tied to determine your rope placement for various parts of the body, so making for more sturdy, sustainable and safer ties.
In the first video, Reemah advises on how to approach arms-front harnesses and how different chest sizes require adaptations in your placement.
In the second video, she discusses the rope placement of harness that bring the arms behind the back, such as the TK.
In the third video, Reemah demonstrates the same technique to find the waist for a waist rope on her two different models – resulting in two seemingly vastly different placements. As she emphasizes throughout the series, this is a function of adjusting your rope for the person being tied.
Finally, in the fourth video, Reemah explores thigh cuffs and the various anatomical factors that can help you tie better cuffs on any body you encounter.
This shibari tutorial series is appropriate and recommended for all levels. Better bondage begins with understanding that rope is a tool that can be adapted to any body, not the other way around.
