Moon Tie

Gorgone

In this class Gorgone teaches her version of the Moon Tie with her model Jewelryandfire.

The Moon Tie can be used by itself or together with any chest harness of your choice. It goes particularly well with the Neck-Hug tie for a refreshing combo or a Strappado, if you are looking for more of a challenge.

This minimalistic tie is inspired by a structure demonstrated by Boris Mosafir during one of his classes and revisited by Gorgone according to her own style. It can be used for floorplay or partial and full suspensions. This tie is a perfect base for the Crab Tie and Daruma positions and much more – the only limit is your creativity and your model's flexibility!

In the suspension line video Gorgone shows a few variations of the positions that can be achieved after loading the Moon Tie by simply tying one or both ankles to the front or back of the body.

Is it possible to use this tie in a side suspension? Would it be better to attach the upline into one of the single column ties or on one side of the lines on the back?

Hi and thanks for your question! We don’t recommend using this tie in a side suspension. For a side suspension, a gunslinger harness (found in Fred’s Leg Ties) would be a great choice.

If somebody else is also curious about placing the upline not in the center: one possibility is suggested in the tutorial on the Crab Tie Suspension from Tamadua :-)

Can this tie be pulled from the front for a face up suspension with a Y hanger?

You can try of course! Make sure to take it slowly and communicate with your partner to see how this variation feels for them. We would be curious to hear our feedback if you try it out.
