Body Awareness 101 (FREE)
This video series is where we suggest you start, before moving through any of our "Bodycare for Rope" movement classes.
In this series, you'll find a variety of common stretch positions. Each video is designed to help you understand what muscles are actually intended to stretch in various positions, and the ways in which flexibility limitations might show up in your rope practice. Use this as a starting point to develop greater body awareness in and out of rope, and as a tool to help you understand how to customize stretches to your own body in ways that still target the correct muscles.
In addition, you'll find the All About Shoulders videos. While these are not necessarily stretching videos, they are intended to expand your understanding of how shoulders work and draw your awareness to this joint, especially as it relates to determining what sort of harnesses work for you body.

Great series! Thank you so much for this information. For me, the shoulder locking video and the explanation of how your shoulders should NOT knit in during a box tie was really informative, and the back bending video also helped me understand where I can develop my spinal stretching routine to support face down bendsShow replies (1)

This video seems to be out of order: it makes several references to the forward folding and backbending videos that come later in the series.

This set of videos is a game-changer for new or experienced bottoms. It makes a huge difference when negotiating a rope scene, working out how a tie will fit you, and just understanding what your own body can and can't do. Highly recommended.
